Spirit Guidelines

Spirit Guidelines

Each year, the SLDI Conference has a Spirit award for the institution that embodies what it means to be engaged conference attendees. The institution that wins this award is recognized at the Closing Ceremony of the conference. To earn the Spirit Award gives your institution bragging rights for the coming year and allows you to take the Spirit Stick home with you to engrave until the next year’s conference. There will be two winners announced at this year’s conference. One for each of the Central and Southern Region schools.

Below are descriptions of the ways that you and your school can get the most out of the conference while also earning Spirit Points to be considered for this award.

Roll Call Video:

We're rolling in ... 3 ... 2 ... 1...

Send us a video to introduce the members of your delegation, identify what school you are from, and show off your campus. The video should be no longer than a minute, match the theme of the conference, and show off your team. This video is due on Monday, October 30, 2023 by 9am. Submit all videos using the following Google Form. File cannot exceed 1GB.

You must bring a sample name tag to the spirit committee on the day of the conference to be judged. Use the text “Judges” on your sample template.
